In his press statement which expressed that honoring Ms. Ugwu will instill confidence in other patriotic Nigerians who are diligent in their civic responsibilities, he said that one day, they too will be recognised and honored for a job well done.
According to Mbisiogu, who also commended other corporate bodies, including Management of The Sun Newspapers for singling out Ms. Ugwu among other good spirited Nigerians, Ms. Ugwu’s display of honesty is worth emulating, adding that their actions were in line with the objectives and aims of Uzotex Foundation,
He described Ms. Ugwu’s actions as not only an act worthy of emulation, but also a display of integrity, uprightness and truthfulness, recalling that the 12million she returned was third time since December 2014 that she returned money left behind by passengers to the Nigeria Airport Authority.
“By this conduct, Ms. Josephine Ugwu has positively written the name of Nigeria in the global map. Her act rekindles hope in many of us, particularly Diaspora Nigerians, who have put in concerted efforts to positively laundering Nigeria’s image abroad. This goes to show that there is hope for our great country”, Mbisiogu stated.
Also, he promised to further support Ms. Ugwu, while urging responsible government authorities to embrace good governance, so as to uplift the standard of living of the governed. It was also pointed out at the forum that Uzotex Foundation is consistently recognising, encouraging, and honoring young Nigerians with leadership potentials, just as it provides both portable water and healthcare services to local communities.
