Ex-perm sec kidnapped in Enugu, abductors demand N50m ransom

NSUKKA—A retired Permanent Secretary in Enugu State, Mr John Abugu has been kidnapped by unknown persons.

Abugu, a lawyer who hailed from Aji, Enugu Ezike was trailed by his abductors who were in an ash coloured Toyota saloon car   from Imufu, Enugu Ezike where he attended the funeral ceremony of his relation to his residence in Enugu last Saturday evening before being kidnapped at his gate.

He was in the company of his wife and two daughters when the incident occurred.

The kidnappers who also seized Abugu’s wife’s telephone were said to have demanded N50 million ransom from the family of the retired permanent secretary.
