The Nigerian chapter of the American based Young African Leaders Initiative, YALI, Network, Face 2 Face has advised youths to be proactive in their endeavours and not wait on government.
YALI Network Face 2 Face also unveiled an Android application that allows mobile phone ushers to swap their airtime from one network to another.
Speaking with newsmen as part of the YALI Network awards dinner night held in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer of SWAPNAIJA, Opeoluwa Ayegbusi, pointed out that if they could dream about SWAPNAIJA and achieve same, other youths could realise their dreams also.
“You have to be courageous to challenge the status quo. Always look for ways to turn negativity to positivity. We can’t wait for government to do everything for us. If you have great idea, there are people who can help you to achieve your dream,” he said.
YALI Network is an initiative of President Barack Obama of United States of America to encourage young African youths which was launched in 2014.
According to the President of YALI Network Face 2 Face Group Nigeria, Elda David, the group, “is a private initiative with the aim of recognising members of the network who are doing well in their endeavours.”
