lftz tribunal: Chairman promises fair report

Lagos—Justice Adesuyi  Olateru-Olagbegi on Wednesday visited the communities of the Lekki Free Trade Zone where the Managing Director of the Zone, Mr Tunde Disu was killed on October 12, 2015.

The Judge who is the Chairman, Tribunal of Inquiry, while on a fact-finding visit to the 14 affected Free Trade Zone host communities, said that the tribunal is ready to present a fair and balanced report.

He  said that those affected by the mayhem, will get justice, stating that the tribunal’s findings will form the basis of its recommendations to the Lagos State Government.

The tribunal, which has the mandate of unravelling the cause of the October 12 disturbance during which Lekki Worldwide Investment Ltd Managing Director, Mr. Tunde Disu was killed, has 45 days to complete its assignment.

The communities visited include Tiye, Imobido, Idasho, Elekuru, Imagbon, Itoke, Idotun, Olomowewe, Imopa, Okuniraye and Abejoye villages.
