The Nation-Wide League One (NLO) yesterday in Abuja unveiled the proprietor of Premier league side Ifeanyi Ubah FC, Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah as its patron, just as it equally unveiled four former Super Eagles players, Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Garba Lawal and Patrick Paschal as ambassadors of  the league.

Chairman of the NLO, Ahmed Kawu said the lower league is changing adding that he was repositioning the league to make it run like its counterparts in other parts of the world. He

added that the patron and ambassadors were chosen due to their contributions to the game.

Accepting his unveiling as patron of the NLO, Ubah assured that he will reach out to his business associates to also invest in Nigerian football  beacuse of its potential to engage teeming Nigeria youths and boost business and enterprise in the country.

Ubah while explaining why he came into football sponsorship, revealed that he was encouraged by the calibre of people running the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by . Amaju Pinnick and the League Management Company (LMC) headed by Shehu Dikko.

He further commended the league body for the good work and changes that has given the Nigeria premier league a  new face wwhich he added will impact positively on the nation’s football.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF),  Amaju Pinnick who was represented by the Chairman of  the LMC, Shehu Dikko promised that the federation will extend technical and marketing support to the Nation Wide League One.

He also announced plans of the NFF to restructure the league for it to meet the needs of Nigeria grassroots football in terms of talent discovery which he added will bbenefit the national team at the long run.
