Boxing enthusiasts will have their hands full when the third GOtv Boxing Night takes the centre stage July 26, at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Six bouts have been listed on the bill put together by Flykite Productions.

The biggest attraction on the night is the N1million top prize for the best boxer who will also take home the Mojisola Ogunsanya trophy.

Announcing this in a crowded press conference in Lagos yesterday, Chief Executive Officer of Flykite Productions, Jenkins Alumona said the prize was attached to the trophy by the chairman of DSTV, Adewumi Ogunsanya who named the trophy after his late wife, Mojisola Ogunsanya.

Aarrangement for the night had been firmed up with all the boxers confirming their availability.

One of the night’s attraction is the first professional female boxing bout, a six-round encounter involving Nigerian woman, Helen Johnson and her Ghanaian counterpart, Gifty Amara Ankra.

The star match is in the Light Middleweight category where Sule Olagbade will stake his national title against challenger, Abolaji Rasheed. The fight will go 12 rounds.

In other bouts, Kazeem Ariyo will take on Olaide Fijabi in the light-welterweight class non-title challenge, national lighweight champion, Prince Nurudeen Fatai will square up against Femi Ajayi in a non-title bout while Sunday Ajuwa and Femi Ajayi will fight in the cruiserweight class.

In the heavyweight class, Delta State born Onoriede Ehwarieme will take on débutante Adewale Masebinu in a 6-round non-title contest.
