Ado-Ekiti—Mrs. Rose Aina, 80, was kidnapped on Tuesday at Ilogbo-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
Her abduction came barely weeks after a nurse at Federal Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Margaret Aladenika, and a Catholic priest, Emmanuel Akingbade, were kidnapped in the state.
She was sleeping in her room at about 9p.m. when she was abducted and efforts made to secure her release had proved abortive.
Vanguard gathered that the kidnappers were yet to make contact with her family.
A source said: “We have been searching for her without success. Nobody knows where they have taken her and they have not contacted the family.
“This is an old woman; she is a poor woman who only de-pends on what her children and good Samaritans give to her.”
Ekiti State Police Command spokesman, Alberto Adeyemi, said efforts were on by the officers and men of the command to secure the release of the octogenarian.
