LAGOS—A Non-Governmental Organisation, Due Process Advocates of Nigeria, DPAN, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to shun any urge to probe misdeeds of the past government, describing it as waste of precious time and  resources.

Reacting to the reported advice from the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and current Emir of Kano, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi that the CBN and the NNPC should be probed, DPAN’s National President, Tajudeen Atunwase Kudu, in a statement said, “President Buhari is expected to hit the ground running by kick starting his programmes for Nigeria.”

According to him, if the President should start probing when he is supposed to be putting things right in the country, he may spend the next two years grubbing in the dark.
