No room for you in APC, group tells Ogboru

The Pan-Delta Unity Forum has described as shameful, alleged attempts by Chief Great Ogboru, Labour Party governorship candidate for Delta State, to lobby the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for admission into the party for the purpose of becoming its flag-bearer should a rerun of the governorship election in the state be held.

In a statement made available to newsmen, yesterday, in Ughelli, the group, through its coordinators, Ifokemo Ubiebi, Festus Osakwe, Dombraye Warman, Zino Idigbe, Ejueyitsi Omatsola, and Uche Eke, claimed that Ogboru becoming a member of the party would amount to light meeting darkness, something it insisted is both a scientific and theological impossibility.

Describing Ogboru as being the greatest enemy of the APC during the last elections, the group alleged that the Labour Party candidate and his supporters had resorted to “denigrating our heroic President-elect, General Buhari, our iconic leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and our amiable candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, on the orders of his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP paymasters, who had charged him with splitting APC votes in the state.”

Insisting that there is no room in the APC for those it described as greedy hunters, the group expressed shock that Ogboru “After attacking us during the election, can show up at the dinner table imperiously demanding the lion share of a meal he contributed nothing to and whose preparation he did everything to sabotage.”

Noting that Ogboru should have joined the progressives a long time ago, the group described him as “a lone ranger without a leader who insists on being the head everywhere he goes.”

According to the group, Ogboru would be better off joining the PDP, whose members it accused of shamelessly seeking to reap where they did not sow.
