The Lagos State Police command has nabbed a notorious bag snatcher operating around Maryland, Anthony and its environs.

Vanguard learned that the 22-year-old suspect, whose father is the taxi park chairman at Maryland, specialized in robbing victims in the early hours of the day.

It was gathered that on February 10, at about 5:30am the suspect, around Maryland Bus Stop, attacked a woman with a kitchen knife, snatched her handbag containing her phones, identity card, ATM card, PVC, undisclosed amount of money and other valuable documents.

At about 8:30am, the victim and her husband went to the Anthony Divisional Police Station to report the case. A police officer was detailed to inspect the scene.

The suspect was caught, the victim’s bag recovered empty around the area, with the contents littering the surrounding.
