Kalmar youth star Taiwo Awoniyi has refused to admit that he has a lot of weight on his shoulders going into the African Youth Championship next month.

Having been voted the most outstanding player at the Super 6 tournament, all eyes will be on the attacker in Senegal, as he is expected to lead the charge for goals for Manu Garba’s boys in the absence of Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success.

‘’I am very happy for this award. I am not under pressure to deliver at the African Youth Championship. Every player here with the help of the wonderful and great (dads) we have here as coaches, we are capable of delivering in any match The aim of the team is to win all matches that come our way.’’
