*Counsels Deltans on Uduaghan’s successor
A former acting  Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Pastor Power Ziakede Aginighan, wants eligible voters to keep their voter’s cards safely and vote for candidates of their choice in the 2015 general elections.

Aginighan  also urged the people of Delta State to fervently pray for God-chosen successor to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.
“They should not allow vote merchants to be in custody of their voter’s cards. That is the only way we can enthrone leaders who will faithfully serve the higher and nobler interest of the generality of our people ‘’ he said in a statement after observing the conduct of the Continuous Voters Registration in his two communities – Ogodobri and Ezebri- in Bomadi LGA, Delta State.

’’I place on record my appreciation of the orderly manner the exercise was carried out by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).  I commend INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Delta State, Mrs Gesila Okubama Khan and INEC National Chairman Professor Attahiru Jega for a job well done’’, the former NDDC boss said.

The statement continued:
‘’Our voter’s card is our right to our well deserved enjoyment of the benefits of modern civilisation- namely, security, power, potable water, health care, education, good roads and so on. It is the bulwark against the looting of our common wealth by heartless politicians.

’’On the 2015 governorship election  in Delta State, it is my position and indeed the position of many well meaning Deltans that those who see politics as a means of building vast economic empires for themselves should forget about the race. Those who rely on a non-existent and unconstitutional zoning formula and expect the governorship conceded to either their ethnic group or senatorial district on a platter of gold  should have a rethink”.
