Kwankwaso uninformed, says Onuesoke

By Festus Ahon

UGHELLI— COUNTRY Director of Network for Good Governance, N4GG, Mr. Sunny Onuesoke, yesterday, described Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State as a religious fanatic, who is not well informed for accusing President Goodluck Jonathan of running an ethnic and religious-based government.

He said: “Kwankwaso’s outburst does not portray him as a man who is well cultured. As a serving governor, he should have respect for this country and for Nigerians.
“What he said is not just an insult on President Jonathan, but his office and the entire country. The Boko Haram insurgence did not start now. It started in the days of late President Umaru Yar’Adua.

“Only the President cannot address the problem of insecurity; he needs the cooperation of all stakeholders, particularly Northern leaders, to tackle this issue.”
On the accusation that the President was running a government based on ethnicity, Onuesoke said: “Almost all the security chiefs and the Minister of Defense are from the North and are Muslims.

“For Kwankwaso to accuse Jonathan of promoting ethnicity shows that he is not well informed.”
