IBADAN—THE All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, yesterday said it was doing everything possible to prevent a repeat of what happened in Ekiti State where the opposition Peoples Democratic Party won the governorship election against the incumbent governor, Dr. kayode Fayemi..

The party, speaking through one of its chieftains, Mr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, noted that apart from the fact that Governor Abiola Ajimobi could not be impeached, he would be the first governor to govern the state twice.

Olatunbosun, who is also the Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, said all 33 local government areas of the state had begun mobilising voters from the grassroots to ensure victory for Senator Abiola Ajimobi come 2015 general elections.

According to him, “Although, Senator Ajimobi has done a lot of laudable projects that can speak for him, we, the caretaker chairmen have agreed to mobilise grassroots voters to ensure he beats the opposition with wide margin in the election.

”We thank God for the time the Ekiti election was held. We in APC have gone back to the drawing board and I can assure you that what happened in Ekiti will never repeat itself in any of the APC-governed state again.”
