Ahmadiya holds regional conference in Warri

The Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, AMJN, would hold a 3-day eastern region conference in Warri, Delta State. The conference themed: “Advent of the Promised Messiah and Inter-faith harmony” would hold at Mom civic centre, Airport Road, Warri, Delta state, from Friday August 1 to 3, 2014.

According to a release sent to Vanguard, the conference would be attended by the National President, (Amir,) of the Jamaat, Dr. Mas’hood Adenrele Fashola, dignitaries from the National Headquarters as well as delegates from eastern region of the Jamaat comprising Edo, Delta, Rivers and other states in the South-South and South-East geo-polical zones of the country.

In the release signed by Naib Amir, (Deputy National Head), Eastern Region, Dr, Gani Enahoro, stated papers would be presented by leaders of various faith with a view to promoting religious harmony in the country. “National leaders of various faiths, such as Christianity, Hare Krishna, Judaism and African Traditional religion have been invited to present papers that would continue to promote religious harmony in our nation. This is in light of the condemnable insurgency and avoidable security challenge prevalent in the North Eastern parts of the country,” he said.

He added that the AMJN is an enitrely peace-loving and peace promoting Islamic community spread across over 200 nations of the world including Nigeria with the motto: ‘Love for All, Hatred for None.’

Enahoro disclosed that the Jamaat would insha Allaah looking forward to celebrating one hundred years of peaceful existence in Nigeria in 2016.
