Seven persons, including a police constable, were yesterday confirmed dead following Thursday’s auto accident that occurred at Oke-Odo area of Lagos. Two others including a toddler were said to be in a critical condition at an undisclosed hospital .
The accident in which seven others sustained varying degrees of injury, occurred at about 9 pm ,after a truck loaded with gravel suddenly veered off its lane and rammed  into a queue of tricycles at NEPA Step-down Bus stop by Ekoro road near pipeline  junction .
Confirming the incident,Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Frank Mba, said the victims were all males ,adding that three tricycles with plate numbers:QL 577 EKY,QR 584 EKY , QS 917 SMR were damaged .The police corporal was identified as Obi Enuku attached to Okeodo division.
The driver of the ill-fated truck with plate number:XP 346 LSR, one Victor Samuel,according to Mba ,is currently in police custody assisting with on-going investigation.
He therefore advised road users to be cautious on the road .
