THE League of Imams and Alfas of Ogun State has installed top Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abdul-Razaq Ishola Salaudeen as the Grand Chief Imam of Ijebu-land.

Also, Alhaji Imam Miftaudeen Gbadegeshin Ayanbadejo was turbaned as Noibul-Imam while Alhaji Imam Muhammed Nurain Olakewu Eyinfunjowo was installed as the Eketa Adini of Ijebuland.
The new palace arcade, venue of the occasion was filled to capacity as religious leaders, royal fathers, Muslim faithful, politicians and well wishers thronged the venue.
Dignitaries at the event include Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State; the Awujale Ijebuland, HRM Oba Sikiru Adetona, who was the royal father of the day; immediate past governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Sheikh Habeebullahi Adam Al-Ilory, the Mudeer Morkaz Agege, Sheikh Robiu Adebayo, Sheikh Abdullah Akinbode; Chief Imam of Ibadan; Bishop Albert Ayinde Fasina, Catholic Diocese of Ijebu–Ode among others.
Amosun who congratulated the Imams and the entire Muslims in his speech congratulated the Muslims on the installation. He stated that he had been delivering his promises to the people through many laudable projects his administration had carried out in the last three years and would continue to do more.
The governor who was excited by the presence of some christian leaders commended the level of tolerance adding: “this kind of collaboration and tolerance that reign in the South-west should continue. There is no difference in religion, we should be united; we should not allow religion to divide us,” he said.
The royal father of the day, HRH, Oba Sikiru Adetona also congratulated the three turbaned leaders and urged them never to relent in the dispensation of justice and fairness to all in the course of discharging their religious duties.
Sheikh Salaudeen who was receently turbaned as the Wakeel-ul-Muslimeen of Ijebu-land has devoted his entire life to the furtherance of Islam in the immediate communities of Ijebuland, Ogun State, and Nigeria in general.
