Food recipes and blogs are exploding on the Internet. MyTaste, one of the world’s leading food web sites, reached a total of 36 million visitors in December, breaking its own record and target. The popular web site has increased its traffic by nearly 180 per cent since January 2013, making it the one of the world’s fastest growing food web sites.
700,000 new members were added in December. With 36 million visitors in December, MyTaste beat the traffic target set at 30 million visitors per month by a considerable margin. MyTaste is a global food web site that has been established in 39 markets around the world. Virtually all of these markets beat their individual records in number of visitors and number of page views, as well as number of new members, in December.
In total, more than 700,000 new members registered in December, which means that MyTaste currently has more than 2.5 million registered members. There are close to one million recipes at MyTaste.com, which is owned by the Sweden-based digital publishing group 203 Web Group. MyTaste also has links to the most popular food blogs in the USA and the rest of the world. ”We are incredibly pleased to have exceeded our traffic targets for December by such a big margin. We are aware that the target we set for ourselves was high, so it feels especially good to finish 2013 on such a high note,” said 203 Web Group CEO, Christoffer Johansson.
”The focus for 2014 will be to maintain a strong growth in traffic, but also to work hard with product development in order to make MyTaste the best and most visited food website for food lovers. MyTaste is presently the second largest food web site in the world and we aim to become number one.”
