BOMADI—Chairman, Transition Committee, Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Collins Olorogun, has made good on his administration’s policy to contribute towards the educational development of Bomadi council in particular and the state in general as 110 students in different institutions of higher learning across the country, have been awarded bursary to mitigate their academic needs.
Speaking after the commencement of the payment of the bursary to students of Bomadi origin, he said that the policy direction was to alleviating the huge financial burden on students most of whom according to him are “indigent students passing through financial hardship,” adding that education is capital intensive and the amount, no matter how little, will be helpful to them.”
He explained that the payment would be made in phases given the financial strength of the council.
Meanwhile, students have converged at the Bomadi council secretariat to check their names on the list of 110 beneficiaries.
