OWODE — In an effort to tackle the alarming security challenges in parts of northNigeria, the Naval Training Command,NAVTRAC, has undertaken a three-day Small Arms Firing exercise, SAFEX in weapon handling on its personnel.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the exercise at the 192 battalion range in Owode, Ogun State, the Flag Officer Commanding NAVTRAC, Rear Admiral Azubuike Ajuonu, said following the current state of security challenges in the country, the Nigerian Navy, NN, was no longer working in isolation within the creeks but involved in joint operations in built up areas with other services and security agencies.
