Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited has urged companies in the beverage sector of the Nigeria economy to source their raw materials locally, saying this will help grow the economy and ensure the companies compete effectively with their peers in the international market.
Mr. Arjan Mirchandani, Company Chairman, stated this at the company distributor’s conference held in Ota, Ogun State, where he said that, “virtually all the raw materials we use for our beverages are sourced from Nigeria; although we spend a lot of time on market research so as to stay competitive.
Mirchandani added, “We are encouraged to do more in line with our creed of making premium products available to all Nigerians in their various social and economic strata.
“We try to stay ahead of competition, though it’s not easy because we are barely five years old in the market. Some brands have been around for more than 20 years. There are challenges in the industry but at the same time, we are not disregarding competition, which we know is very stiff.
He added that, “It’s a matter of giving the best quality, at the best price, in the best packaging. That’s what we are keen on.”
