Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa is not bothered that he was left out of the team that will play Mexico in an international friendly game on the 31st of this month in the United States.
Coach Stephen Keshi left out the CSKA Moscow forward from the friendly game but has since said the pacy winger was still part of his plans and the player remains in the 30-man squad penned for the two FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia and the FIFA Confederations Cup, all in June.
Musa says he is in constant touch with the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super Eagles.
“I have been in contact with the team secretary of the super eagles and told him that if my club qualifies for the Russian cup final, I will not be available for the friendly and when we eventually qualified the secretary called me again to confirm if I will still be able to come and I told him it wasn’t possible,” he told Brila FM.
Musa however revealed that he will be joining the Stephen Keshi led side in the Germany training camp on the 2nd of June after the Russian cup final on the 1st. Musa, who over the weekend emerged as the Russian champions with his club CSKA Moscow, has been in blistering form this season in the Russian top flight scoring 11 goals in 25 league appearances.
