BENIN CITY —THE leadership of  Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Edo State, has challenged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to disclose the evidence that Governor Adams Oshiomhole begged to join the party or shut up forever.

This came as the leadership of the party warned elected local government area  chairmen, that they must reciprocate the developmental strides of the governor in their respective councils and show absolute loyalty to the leadership of the party or be sanctioned.

State chairman of the party,  Mr. Thomas Okosun,  during a meeting with the council chairmen in Benin City,  said the PDP was deceiving themselves by alleging what he described as “their normal story telling.”

He noted that they “lack what Oshiomhole will beg for, particularly when it comes to the politics of Edo State.”

He insisted that PDP failed in the just concluded local government elections because they were not in touch with the people, saying, “it is funny because they only exist on the pages of newspapers in Abuja, but nowhere to be found in Edo State.”
