Osun PDP raises alarm over mining licence

Osun State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused the state government of commencing the process of selling the state’s solid minerals mining licence to some leaders of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, based in Lagos.

PDP, in a statement issued by its Director of Media and Strategy, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, said: “We are not surprised at the latest move by Ogbeni Aregbesola to sell our assets because the last time he sold several hectares of land in Osun State to Lagos State government, people said PDP was crying wolf.

But we will not be deterred in exposing this government as an expansion of Tinubu’s asset.   “Osun State, under Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, applied for and was issued a mining licence by the Bureau of Public Enterprises which conducted the bidding sessions.”
