*AS the Flying Eagles prepare for the return leg of the African Youth Championship qualifiers against Tanzania

Following the slim 1-0 defeat suffered by the Flying Eagles against Rwanda, in a warm-up game ahead of their qualifying encounter against Tanzania for the 18th African U-20 Championship billed for Algeria next year, former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida has charged the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on the need to do more scouting.

“We are only asking for good football with good players that are selected without sentiments or intervention of players’ managers. Nothing stops the NFF from creating a strong monitory team that supervises the activities of the various academies, amateur teams and if possible, the Nation Wide League teams to select quality players

“It is high time that the NFF appointed a member from the technical sub-committee to be part of the team. They should not sit and fold their hands on this issue because if we get it right with the Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets, then we are on the path to rediscovery,” Babangida added.
