Dr. Ngozi Olejeme Igbo Ladies Support Forum has pledged to mobilise over Two million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori re-election in 2027.
Thousands of women from across the South East and South-South zones who converged in Asaba on Saturday in a historic show of political force, endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori describing them as Leadership with visible results.”
The gathering, organized by the Dr. Ngozi Olejeme Igbo Ladies Support Forum, across the SE and SS, turned the Asaba event hall into a sea of white, green, and blue as women from 11 states sang, danced, and passed a unanimous resolution to back both leaders ahead of 2027.
Convener of the Forum and National Coordinator of Tinubu Torch Bearers, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, FCIDA, MIOD set the tone in her keynote address and dropped the headline pledge.
“My sisters, let us be clear, this is not politics of stomach , this is politics of positive vision,” Dr. Olejeme told the excited crowd.
“President Tinubu is taking bold steps to reposition Nigeria’s economy.
Governor Oborevwori is delivering the MORE Agenda in Delta — 100 eco-buses, CNG stations, new terminals, and massive road works.
As Mothers, market women, business owners, we can see it.
When a leader works, women must stand up.
Today, the Igbo Ladies stand up for Tinubu. We stand up for Oborevwori.” Dr Olejeme told the joyful women that the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB), have brought the message of Hope from the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Sen Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of Delta State, Her Excellency Dcns Tobore Oborevwori and APC National Women Leader Dr Mary Alile Idele.
She then announced the Forum’s target “From South East to South South, we are deploying 1,000,000 trained women mobilizers across 95 LGAs.
Our job is to take this message to markets, churches, and campuses.
Our message is simple Tinubu means positive reforms. Oborevwori means meaningful development.”
Dr. Genevieve Mordi, South Coordinator, Tinubu Torch Bearers said the Forum would now move to structure and deployment.
“Women are the largest voting bloc, If we are organized, we decide elections,” she stated.
“We are not meeting and going home., we are organizing ward by ward, market by market, campus by campus, unit by unit, cell by cell.
“Over Two million women will speak with one voice for Tinubu and Oborevwori.”
State Coordinator Dr. Mrs Igbrude reiterated that the women should stand as a team to ensure a landslide victory for all APC candidates.
Fmr State Women leader Hon Kannulia Omoko and also Duchess Nerissa Ifejika echoed same sentiments and adviced women to make sure to get their PVCs while Ifeoma Onuorah and Edith Ume, Excos of the Igbo Support Forum expressed gratitude to Her Excellencies Sen. Remi Tinubu and Dcns. Tobore Oborevwori.
The summit endorsed all APC candidates and declared 5/5 in all Local Governments of Delta State for His Excellency President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Sen Joel T. Onowoakpo and Chief Ede Dafinone.
They also endorsed all House of Representatives Candidates and all House of Assembly Candidates.
It also featured emotional testimonials from women at the grassroots.
Madam Ifeyinwa Okoro, a petty trader, tied the endorsement to economic realities “We carry goods every day. When fuel is high, our profit dies. We heard Delta Government approved 50 CNG buses and 50 electric buses.
Cheaper transport means more money in our pockets.
That is why we are here,” she said to loud applause.
Another testifier, Miss Chidinma Uzodinma added “We are tired of being used and dumped after elections.
This time, we are choosing leaders who carry women and youths along.”
Mr Uzoamaka Nwosu, a Teacher, spoke on policy alignment “The Renewed Hope Agenda and the MORE Agenda both prioritize education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
That alignment matters to women in academia.”
Closing the meeting, Dr. Olejeme charged the women to guard the movement.
“Let no one divide us, let no one use us, APC is the Party that works, when Delta works, Igbo business works.
When Nigeria works, our children win, Igbo women are awake, Igbo women are organized. Igbo women are ready,” she declared
