Women members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have pledged to deliver 95 percent of their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The women, under the Women Wing of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG), made the pledge during a solidarity gathering at the AMG secretariat in Akure.

Drawn from the 18 LGAs of the state, the women were led by three-time former commissioner Hon. Yetunde Adeyanju.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Adeyanju commended President Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee for what she called the “courageous and equitable” handling of the National Assembly candidates’ list for Ondo State.

Adeyanju said the decision had restored confidence among women and grassroots members, and assured that the National Assembly candidates would deliver quality representation and remain loyal to the party.

“We assure our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the NWC of our total support.

“The decisions taken have strengthened the confidence of party members, and we are committed to working tirelessly to deliver not less than 95 per cent of the votes for Mr. President in Ondo State in 2027,”* Adeyanju said.

The group also lauded Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing him as a leader of “uncommon political dexterity” whose bridge-building and inclusive style have strengthened the APC in Ondo.

“BTO’s humility, accessibility and ability to inspire unity have made him the most influential pillar of the party in Ondo State,” Adeyanju noted, urging him to continue providing direction for the party.

AMG Director General Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla, who attended the event, praised the women for their loyalty and urged them to sustain grassroots mobilisation.

Asagunla described women as “the backbone of every successful political movement” and charged them to promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration and strengthening the structures of the APC at the ward and local government levels.
