Tech firm targets Nigeria’s knowledge economy with unified creator monetisation platform

Skite, a digital platform focused on creator monetisation, is expanding its operations in Nigeria as more professionals increasingly turn to knowledge-based businesses for income.

The platform is designed as an all-in-one system for creators, coaches, consultants, educators and other professionals to package and sell their expertise from a single hub.

It allows users to sell online courses and digital products, host paid communities, organise live events, offer one-on-one video consultations, and monetise audience interactions without relying on multiple third-party tools.

The expansion comes amid growing participation in Nigeria’s knowledge economy, where individuals are building income streams around coaching, training, consulting and digital education, rather than traditional employment or entertainment-based content creation.

While the creator economy has largely been associated with social media influencers and content production, more professionals are now shifting towards structured knowledge businesses. However, many still rely on several platforms to manage payments, community engagement, course delivery and customer interactions, which can increase costs and operational complexity.

Skite said its platform is designed to address this challenge by consolidating these functions into a single ecosystem for knowledge entrepreneurs.

The company claimed that creators using the platform have recorded an average revenue increase of about 30 per cent after integrating their operations, while premium users benefit from a zero-transaction-fee structure on earnings.

Speaking on the development, Skite Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Obinna, said the platform is aimed at supporting professionals building businesses around their expertise.

“The knowledge economy is creating unprecedented opportunities for professionals to earn from what they know. We are building the tools that make it easier for creators to launch, manage and scale those businesses,” he said.

As Nigeria’s digital economy continues to grow, industry observers expect knowledge entrepreneurship to become a larger segment of the broader creator economy, with platforms like Skite competing to serve emerging digital business owners.

Skite describes itself as an all-in-one creator monetisation platform that enables users to build and scale businesses by selling digital products, hosting communities, running events, and offering consultations from a unified system.
