In an effort to proffer solution to the erratic power situation in the country, the Lagos State Television, LTV in conjunction with Folub Electrik Serviz will set the stage for the 4th Alternative Power Exhibition in Lagos which comes up in mid July 2012.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Minerals Resources, Mr Taofeek Tijani is expected to declare open the exhibition with the theme “Save Much, Go Alternative.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Special Events Committee, LTV, Mrs. Funke Moore said the six day exhibition is the convergence of the alternative power sources available in Nigeria and it is designed to showcase products and services in the power sector such as solar, inverter, UPS, generators, water and wind power.

According to her, the exhibition will commence between 16th and 21th of July 2012 which will feature seminars on sustainability of alternative power sources and their benefits to human existence.

The statement reads “The Exhibition which will end on the 21th of July is open to members of the public between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm daily and will serve as a platform to sell, buy and learn more about alternative sources for both commercial and domestic users.

“In addition, manufacturers, distributors and end users will utilize the unique opportunity for networking and finding solution to the problem of erratic power supply in the country.

Moore urged Nigerians to participate actively in the fair, bearing in mind that the power sector is very viable and important in the economic development of any nation.
