The Founder of TPP Africa and Convener of The Peak Performer Festival (TPP Fest), Dr. Abiola Salami, has said the 2026 edition of the event will focus on addressing leadership and strategy execution challenges facing organisations across Africa.

Salami stated this while announcing plans for TPP Fest 2026, a leadership and performance conference scheduled to hold on June 24 in Lagos.

Themed, “Strategy Execution in Human Environments: The Emotional Intelligence Advantage in People, Pressure and Performance Leadership,” the festival is expected to bring together executives, chief executive officers, business leaders, human resource professionals, managers and emerging leaders from across the continent.

According to Salami, many organisations are not struggling because of a lack of strategy, but because of their inability to effectively execute well-crafted plans.

“Most organisations do not have a strategy problem. They have an execution problem,” he said.

“Great ideas rarely fail on paper; they fail in human environments. TPP Fest 2026 is designed to help leaders understand the human side of execution, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and build the emotional intelligence required to lead people, manage pressure, and sustain performance in increasingly complex environments.”

He noted that the festival reflects TPP Africa’s commitment to promoting a culture of excellence through leadership development, executive learning and strategic engagement across Africa.

Salami also highlighted the increasing participation of leaders from different parts of the continent, particularly West and East Africa, describing it as evidence of the growing relevance of the event.

“One of the most significant aspects of this year’s edition is the growing participation of leaders from both West Africa and East Africa. This reinforces our vision of building a pan-African ecosystem where leaders can learn from one another, share practical insights and collectively shape the future of leadership, execution and performance on the continent,” he said.

The festival will feature two major sessions, including the Strategy Execution Summit, which will focus on improving organisational performance and execution excellence, and the CEO Forum, where top business leaders will discuss the pressures and realities of leadership in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

Chairman of TPP Africa, Mr. Yinka Adebayo, said Africa’s progress depends not only on developing sound strategies but also on the ability of leaders and institutions to consistently deliver results.

“Africa’s future will not be determined solely by the quality of our strategies but by our collective ability to execute consistently, build capable institutions and develop leaders who can deliver results through people,” Adebayo said.

He added that TPP Fest continues to provide a platform for practical learning, collaboration and strategic conversations aimed at strengthening leadership effectiveness and organisational performance across the continent.
