Mr Emmanuel Orakpor, Director of Publicity for the Southern Solidarity Alliance, SSA, has congratulated Hon George Olawande on his victory in the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, House of Representatives primary election held on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Orakpor, in a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, described Olawande’s emergence in the keenly contested primary election as a clear demonstration of the confidence, trust and overwhelming support he enjoys among party faithful and stakeholders across the constituency.

According to him, the victory reflected the delegates’ belief in Olawande’s leadership qualities, dedication to public service and commitment to the development of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

“This remarkable victory is a testament to Olawande’s outstanding leadership, dedication to public service, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
“Through his accessibility, humility, and impactful representation, he has consistently shown that leadership is about service to the people.
“The delegates have spoken through their votes, reaffirming their belief in his vision and capacity to continue delivering quality representation,” Orakpor said.

He added that Olawande’s emergence as the party’s candidate ahead of the general election should serve as a rallying point for members and supporters of the NDC to unite and work towards electoral success.
“As he secures the party’s ticket ahead of the general election, this victory serves as a call for unity, solidarity, and renewed determination among all members and supporters of the NDC,” he stated.

Orakpor noted that with the primary election concluded, attention should now shift towards collective efforts aimed at securing victory at the polls.
