A new collaboration between rising artiste eMQUE and Afrobeats singer Niniola is gaining attention for its fusion of street-inspired sounds and Afro-house elements.

The song reflects eMQUE’s Lagos roots, particularly his upbringing in Ajegunle, with lyrics and rhythms that capture the hustle and vibrancy of urban life.

Niniola’s contribution adds a dynamic layer to the track, infusing it with her well-known Afro-house style and performance energy.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the new song, he said, “The inspiration for the track came from real-life experiences—just the everyday hustle, relationships, and emotions you go through living in Lagos.

“Growing up in Ajegunle, you see a lot, you feel a lot, and I try to put all of that into my music. I wanted to create something that people can vibe to, but also something they can relate to on a deeper level. It’s that mix of street reality and good energy—something honest, but still fun.”

Music analysts note that the collaboration represents a strategic move for eMQUE, as partnerships with established artistes continue to play a key role in elevating emerging talents in the competitive Nigerian music industry.

The release also underscores the continued influence of Ajegunle in shaping contemporary Nigerian music, as artistes from the area push creative boundaries and gain wider recognition.
