2027: Endorsement spree as Patani, Bomadi constituents endorse Mutu’s continuity

…Pass vote of confidence in Oborevwori, Tinubu’s administrations

PATANI—The Patani/Bomadi constituents have openly endorsed the continuity of the serving lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, for the 2027 general elections.

The constituents also endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Kenneth Oboro Preyor and Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe, members representing Bomadi and Patani Constituencies in the Delta State House of Assembly, respectively, for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsements conducted by The Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu Support Groups (NEMSGs) throughout the constituency, occurred simultaneously in various wards yesterday, expressing confidence in the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

In Patani, political and community leaders from different wards gathered at the headquarters of Patani local government area and the wards to express their support for Mutu and Sinebe’s re-election campaigns in 2027.

The chairman of Patani community, Mr. Felix Bola, expressed that Mutu’s developmental initiatives are unmatched in Patani local government area, emphasizing that God has elevated the lawmaker to assist the people of Patani.

The chairman, Uduophori Elders Forum, Elder Collins Akpor, stressed that there were more work to be done in Patani local government area, noting Mutu had done a lot for the people of the council area.

He said: “In Patani Local Government, there is more to return. Mutu has done well and I see the good things he has been doing for Patani LGA over the years. From what I’m observing in him, if he is given the privilege, he would do more for us. This man will stand taller than who he is today when given the privilege”.

However, Mr Owoma Stephen, the chairman of Bulu-Angiama community, Mr Otolo Nelson, chairman of Aven and among other community leaders spoke in the same vein, rooting unflinching support for Mutu and Sinebe in 2027.

Chief Zaria Enguru, Administrator of the Palace of Kabowei Kingdom, in his speech emphasized that he would not go against any aspirant as a traditional Chief, neither would he consider anyone more important to the other, stressing “Let us consider who we are considering to be in position”.

Highlight of the occasion was a motion endorsing Mutu, Sinebe, Gov. Oborevwori and President Tinubu, moved by former leader of the Patani Legislative Assembly, Hon. College Owoupele, seconded by the chairman of Bulu-Angiama community, Mr Stephen and was adopted by the constituents.

In Bomadi Local Government Area, the situation was not different, as the Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu Support Groups at Kpakiama, Ogboinama, Ogriagbene, Akugbene, Kalafiugbene and other communities endorsed the lawmaker’s return to the Green Chambers.

At Kpakiama, at the end of the deliberations, various speakers recounting the democracy dividends influenced by Mutu to the community and neighbouring communities, the Mutu Support Group endorsed the duo of Hon. Mutu and the lawmaker representing Bomadi Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon. Kenneth Oboro Preyor, alongside Gov. Oborevwori and President Tinubu for adoption in the 2027 general elections.

During the meeting at Kpakiama, several speakers highlighted the benefits of democracy brought to the community and neighbouring communities by Mutu. Consequently, the Mutu Support Group endorsed Hon. Mutu, Hon. Kenneth Oboro Preyor, along with Gov Oborevwori and President Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 general elections.

Mr Lawrence Burutu, Hon. Nicholas Okpai (immediate past leader Bomadi Legislative Assembly), Pa Omele Onisuo and Mrs Justina Tatutu Embelegha, highlighted the need for returning the four chosen ones in 2027.

On Friday, the endorsements went viral simultaneously across various communities in the council area, including Ogboinama, Ogriagbene, Akugbene, Kalafiugbene and others.

During the meetings, the constituents also urged Mutu to complete all ongoing projects he had influenced in the area. They called for the commencement of work on the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC’s) collapsed Gbaregolor Bridge and the adjoining Esanma-Ogboin-ama section of the Bomadi-Oboro-Okpokunou-Gbaregolor-Esanma-Ogboin-ama-Akugbene-Ezebiri road project.
