Former aspirant for the Burutu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, under the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, High Chief Thompson Robert Fuoye has extended his congratulations to Gov Sheriff Oborevwori on his emergence as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer for the 2027 general elections.
Recall that Fuoye was poised to challenge the incumbent lawmaker representing the Federal Constituency, Hon. Julius Pondi, during the party primaries. However, at the eleventh hour, the leadership of the APC in the state convinced him to withdraw in favour of the sitting lawmaker.
Congratulating Oborevwori, Fuoye, the Owoufiniowei of Tuomo Kingdom, hailed the governor’s emergence as a welcome development for all Deltans, given his ongoing developmental strides in the state.
He observed that re-electing Oborevwori signifies the continuation of infrastructural and human capital development across the state beyond 2027.
Fuoye said: “I am thrilled to use this medium to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our diligent governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as the standard-bearer of our great party, the APC, for the 2027 gubernatorial elections in the state.
The party’s decision to entrust Gov. Oborevwori with the party’s flag to continue his developmental initiatives beyond 2027 is a welcome development for all Deltans, given his evident contributions to infrastructure and human capital development across Delta State.
“I am confident that Deltans will see greater infrastructure and human capital developments across the state in the coming years, as the governor has demonstrated his integrity and dedication in his first term in office.
“I also commend my people, the people of Burutu Federal Constituency, for turning out in large numbers to cast their votes for our workaholic governor during the primaries.
