Progress Stephen, popularly known as LUE, has launched Luelink, a social prediction platform designed to help individuals create, manage, and settle wagers and challenges in a transparent manner.
LUE, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Luelink, developed an interest in technology at a young age. He began learning programming early and went on to build websites and digital platforms for various companies before deciding to establish a venture of his own during his second year at university.
Between 2021 and 2022, he launched Luevin, a social platform aimed at connecting student entrepreneurs within campus communities. The platform enabled students involved in business to showcase their products, network with peers, and sell within their institutions. Within 24 hours of its launch, Luevin attracted over 1,000 users, reflecting strong initial interest.
Building on that momentum, LUE explored additional digital projects. He later created Zeebrod and founded NewnaijaUpdate, a blog focused on publishing daily news and trending songs, which steadily built an online audience. Through these ventures, he gained experience in developing platforms, nurturing digital communities, and scaling products through user engagement.
The concept for Luelink emerged from a recurring issue he observed in social settings. While spending time in game centres, viewing centres, and other competitive environments, he noticed that people frequently placed wagers on activities such as chess, video games, snooker, and even online predictions related to sports, entertainment, politics, and social debates. However, disputes often arose when parties failed to honour agreements after outcomes were decided.
According to LUE, the absence of a trusted system to enforce peer-to-peer wagers highlighted a gap in the market. During his research, he identified platforms such as Polymarket, which focus on forecasting global events. However, he noted that such platforms are structured for public, large-scale predictions rather than everyday personal challenges.
In 2025, LUE began developing Luelink to address this gap. The platform is designed to allow users to create social predictions, place wagers, and settle outcomes in a structured and transparent manner.
He said the goal of Luelink is to provide a trusted environment where individuals can compete, predict outcomes, and resolve wagers fairly, both online and offline.
For LUE, Luelink represents not just a digital product, but a system intended to foster clarity, fairness, and trust in everyday competition.
