Nigerian saxophonist and gospel artist Seunzzy Sax has released a new song and music video called “Elohim Gadol,” continuing his run of releases in the gospel music world.
The song title means “The Great God” in Hebrew. It is built around Seunzzy’s saxophone playing, which has become his signature sound and sets him apart from most gospel artists who rely more on vocals and traditional band setups.
The music video is the standout part of the release. It was directed by Gameboy Akinluyi and Ido Ballard and was filmed in two countries, Nigeria and Israel. Shooting in both locations gives the video an international feel that is not common among Nigerian gospel releases.
The combination of Nigerian culture and the landscapes of Israel creates a visual that connects the song’s spiritual message to a wider global setting.
The release also comes with a business update. “Elohim Gadol” is one of the first songs released under Grit Foundation Music, which is the new name for what was previously called Gospel Foundation Music.
The name change suggests the artist is looking to take his label in a clearer and more focused direction.
“Elohim Gadol” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and other major streaming platforms.
