LAGOS – The Real Woman Foundation, led by Pastor Nike Adeyemi, hosted the second edition of its annual ‘Get Up’ Girl conference at Regal Hall, Ikeja, in a bid to inspire resilience and personal growth among teenage girls.

Targeting girls aged 12–19, the event introduced a “Personal Toolkit for Success” designed to equip participants with practical strategies to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Major sponsor Unilever supported the initiative by providing attendees with Pepsodent toothpaste and Rexona roll-on products to promote personal hygiene and boost confidence.

During the conference, Pastor Adeyemi encouraged the girls to embrace gratitude, growth, and grace while developing emotional intelligence. She emphasized the importance of avoiding comparison, cultivating tenacity, and understanding their value through God’s word. “Love yourself and light others,” she advised, highlighting that empowered girls can uplift others by sharing knowledge and support.

The event also provided practical lessons on leadership and life skills. Pastor Adeyemi reminded attendees that “readers are leaders,” urging them to be intentional about their reading habits both online and offline while maintaining healthy social boundaries. Topics covered included communication, financial literacy, nutrition, and the responsible use of social media.

The conference concluded with music, refreshments, and an interactive Q&A session, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to giving young girls a head start through early intervention and holistic personal development.

The ‘Get Up’ Girl conference underscores the Real Woman Foundation’s mission to transform lives, foster a resilient mindset, and equip the next generation of women to navigate challenges with confidence and purpose.
