The Her Excellence Conference has announced a major empowerment initiative to train 100 young women aged 20–30 in professional event management, planning, and decoration skills, in partnership with ASo Academy for Event Excellence.

The programme, scheduled to begin in April 2026 in Abuja, will provide participants with hands-on training, expert-led workshops, mentorship, and real-world event production experience. The initiative aims to boost entrepreneurship, improve employability, and equip young women to build sustainable careers in Nigeria’s growing events and hospitality industry.

Project Coordinator Amb. Kingsley Tolu Agboola described the programme as a key step in advancing women’s economic independence and leadership.

“This empowerment drive reinforces our commitment to sustainable development through targeted skills acquisition and mentorship,” Amb. Agboola said. “We are not only training participants but positioning them for long-term success in a high-demand sector.”

He emphasized the strategic partnership with ASo Academy, noting its reputation for raising industry standards and nurturing emerging professionals.

“The collaboration with ASo Academy for Event Excellence underscores our shared goal of building capacity and excellence in the events sector,” Amb. Agboola added.

The training will cover practical aspects of event execution, creative design, client management, and business development, with a focus on preparing participants to launch their own ventures or secure roles in established firms.
