Music runs in his family—his mother, Victoria Oamen, founder of a primary and secondary school, and his uncle, Sammy, were both songwriters. Their influence, combined with experiences in university choirs and inspiration from fellow medical students who doubled as artists, shaped Benny’s artistic path. Formally entering the music industry in 2024, Benny Zanda has already made waves with his first two singles, Moneycetamol and Bread, with over 200k streams and counting, crossing over 50 countries, highlighting his versatility and unique sound. His stage name, Benny Zanda, is a creative fusion of his middle name, Benson, and Panda, a favorite high school song, reflecting the personal and cultural threads in his artistry.

Beyond solo work, Benny has collaborated with emerging talents such as Draco, the dancing doctor, a fellow medical student, who is creating a community of young artists balancing academics and creativity.
