2026 will be fast, strange, troublesome – Olukoya warns

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has described the year 2026 as a “fast, strange and troublesome year,” warning that evil traders operating within churches must desist or face the wrath of God.

Dr. Olukoya gave the prophetic outlook during the church’s crossover service held early Thursday at the Prayer City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where thousands of worshipers gathered to usher in the new year.

According to the cleric, the year 2025 is dovetailing into 2026, noting that events of the previous year would spill over and shape the unfolding realities of the new one. He warned that 2026 would demand intense prayers to avert looming crises, particularly in the face of what he described as renewed strategies by the kingdom of darkness.

“The tables of evil traders in churches shall be turned upside down this year,” Olukoya declared, adding that the forces of darkness are intensifying efforts to recruit children, a development he said has already caused significant damage.

He further cautioned worshipers to pray against strange occurrences, including fire outbreaks and explosions, stressing that the mighty hand of God would intervene in the affairs of many nations. “God will pass through nations, families and churches to reward and to judge,” he said.

Describing 2026 as a tragic year for traitors, disloyal individuals and unfaithful married people, Olukoya warned that divine judgment would be evident across different spheres of life.

However, he reassured prayerful believers, particularly members of the MFM, that they had nothing to fear. According to him, the year would also usher in “great deliverance and fresh glory” for those who remain steadfast in prayer and obedience.

Quoting copiously from scriptures including Genesis 45:7, 1 Chronicles 11:14, Psalm 18:50, Job 29:20 and Luke 4:18, the MFM founder outlined 20 keys for survival in 2026. These include regular fasting and prayer, cultivating violent faith, praying persistently, avoiding fear and anxiety, living a holy life, working hard, being disciplined, practising Christian love and remaining time-conscious.

He urged worshipers to be addicted to the Word of God, strive for excellence, set personal goals, hear from God, and maintain honesty in all dealings, emphasising that obedience and spiritual alertness would be crucial in navigating the challenges of the new year.

“As the year moves fast, only those who are spiritually prepared and disciplined will stand,” Olukoya concluded.
