Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan for re-election in 2027.

Adegbesan currently represents the Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The endorsement was announced at a meeting of the APC Executive Council of the local government held in Oru.

The party leaders said the decision followed a thorough assessment of the performances of President Tinubu and Adegbesan.

In the same vein, the council adopted Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the Ogun East Senatorial ticket.

The motion for the triple endorsement was moved by the council’s Treasurer, Abolore Kasali Adesina, and seconded by the Ward 6 Chairman, Adekunle Okunbajo.

According to a statement issued after the meeting, the resolution was reached after a “critical appraisal” of the political situation at the constituency, state and national levels. The leaders stressed the need to sustain what they described as effective and credible representation.

The statement quoted a council spokesperson as saying the endorsements reflected the party’s confidence in the leadership qualities, performance and commitment of the beneficiaries, noting that continuity would help consolidate ongoing developmental initiatives.

The resolutions were jointly signed by the Ijebu North APC Chairman, Hon. Mosunmola Oladipo, and the Local Government Secretary, Taiwo Adeleye.
