As the January 1, 2026 deadline for the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, tax reforms approaches, Nigeria’s Software-as-a-Service, SaaS, platform, Afri Invoice, has disclosed that it is recording increased adoption among businesses.

Afri Invoice is a digital invoicing, tax compliance and payment-tracking platform that also offers incentives to early adopters.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afri Invoice, Mark Odenore, said: “As the new tax laws take effect, many Nigerian businesses will need to adapt their invoicing processes. At this critical juncture, we are offering incentives to businesses that start their digital invoicing journey early. We understand the challenges of manual invoicing and tax compliance, and we want to support businesses in making this transition as smooth as possible.”

Odenore noted that the platform is already making a tangible impact on the business environment.

“We are excited to see our platform make a tangible impact on the Nigerian business landscape. Our incentives are designed to support businesses of all sizes in taking the first step towards digital transformation,” he said.

According to him, businesses that join the Afri Invoice community can leverage its technology to automate invoicing, track payments and remain compliant with the latest tax laws.

“By leveraging digital tools, businesses can streamline their financial operations, avoid fines and penalties, reduce errors and improve cash flow. We are confident that our platform will not only help businesses meet the new tax requirements but also drive efficiency, transparency and growth,” Odenore added.

He explained that Afri Invoice is built on three core pillars designed specifically for Nigerian business realities.

He said: “Under our professional and secure offering, the platform boasts a 99.7 per cent compliance rate and a 100 per cent penalty-free record. It validates every invoice before transmission using QR code authentication, complete audit trails and automatic data synchronisation, while meeting all FIRS technical requirements.

“Its mobile-first design allows the platform to function effectively on mobile devices, even in low-data environments. It also works offline during power outages and automatically syncs once connectivity is restored, with mobile receipt capture for instant digital storage.

“The comprehensive business management feature provides users with real-time dashboards, financial analytics, customer database management, product catalogues, multi-entity business management and automated payment tracking.

“Professional branded invoices with QR codes and automatic VAT calculations can be generated in under five minutes, while payment tracking integrates bank transfers, debit cards and mobile money through Flutterwave and Kuda Bank. Invoices can also be sent via email or WhatsApp,” he said.
