Sebastian Jarosch

The proliferation of Artificial Intelligence has made many of us skeptical about the facts and fiction that we read online. It wouldn’t be unfair to say that we live in an age of rampant misinformation. That is exactly why we need dedicated affiliate platforms that are transparent and honest in their reviews.

Nobody is more aware of this than Sebastian Jarosch. Mr. Jarosch is the founder of Mithrillium Media Ltd., a company with which he has managed to change the gambling industry. During his tenure as CEO, he has pushed for UX-oriented reviews and transparency with clients and operators alike.

For these contributions, Jarosch has received several accolades. Most impressive are the EGR Nordics Awards for Best Affiliate Programme 2022 and the SBC Awards for Affiliate Programme of the Year in 2022. He has graciously taken the time to answer some of our questions about the future of iGaming.

In an online world flooded with content, how can affiliates stand out as credible and trustworthy sources for players?

Affiliates can stand out by providing users with player-centric content that delivers real value. The affiliate space is saturated with sites that don’t meet the true search intent of players. A platform that simplifies information and highlights meaningful differences supported by expert reviewers can immediately earn the audience’s trust.

Why do you think honesty and transparency have become such powerful differentiators in affiliate marketing today?

Today’s players are well-informed and often have previous experience with online casinos. They can quickly spot biased or deceptive content. Being transparent with your audience builds credibility and makes them feel respected. In a saturated market, honesty is one of the few long-term differentiators that truly works.

How do you ensure your reviews and rankings are seen as objective when commercial partnerships are part of your model?

All reviews on sites like Casino Groups follow the same format and focus on what matters most to players. Rankings are based on clear, published criteria, and affiliate disclosures are easy to find. When users see honest pros and cons presented without overly promotional language, they tend to trust the process even when partnerships are involved.

Have you noticed that players are becoming more skeptical of affiliate content, and how do you address that skepticism?

Players are often skeptical because they know many affiliate sites prioritize revenue over genuine user value. Consistency is essential, as it helps build trust and fosters loyalty. When users make informed decisions based on your content, they are far more likely to return.

Do you believe misinformation (such as exaggerated bonuses or misleading claims) still harms the reputation of the industry?

Misleading content destroys trust and harms the entire ecosystem, not just individual affiliates or operators. Affiliates that focus on responsible gaming, provide honest opinions, and prioritize accurate bonus terms help strengthen the reputation of the industry.

What measures can affiliates take to validate the accuracy of the information they publish about operators and games?

To truly verify information, affiliates must review the online casino firsthand and cross-check the details with the operators. Casino reviews need to be revisited regularly to ensure the information stays up to date. Affiliates can also use player feedback to identify red flags early. Accuracy requires a combination of research, testing, and ongoing updates.

Transparency can be communicated through clearly structured content and consistent presentation. Clear tables, intuitive scoring, and simple explanations help users understand the facts without feeling overwhelmed.

Do you see regulators beginning to hold affiliates more accountable for the accuracy of their claims and promotions?

In some jurisdictions, regulators hold affiliates to the same standards as operators. Affiliates are often restricted in their messaging and in how acquisition offers can be presented to their audience. Those who proactively adopt higher standards are better positioned for long-term success.

What role does reputation play in forming long-term partnerships with operators, especially in competitive markets?

Reputation is crucial for success in this industry. Operators look for affiliates who drive quality traffic, remain compliant, and represent their brand accurately. A strong reputation leads to better affiliate deals, deeper collaboration, and more stable partnerships.

Looking ahead, how will affiliates that prioritize credibility and truthfulness shape the future of the iGaming landscape?

These affiliates will set the benchmark for responsible and sustainable growth. They will lead the shift from aggressive promotion to user-first guidance, helping players make safer and more informed decisions. Ultimately, credibility-driven platforms will define the next era of the affiliate industry.
