The Christ Compassion to the Rural World (CCRW) has announced that its 2025 Rural World Mega Crusade will take place in Port Harcourt from November 24 to 29.

The initiative, led by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), combines evangelical outreach with humanitarian services. According to CCRW, the programme is designed to provide free surgeries, medical services, food distribution, and empowerment training for pastors, alongside nightly gospel crusades.

The first CCRW crusade was held in Ikorodu, Lagos State, where organisers reported screening thousands of people and carrying out more than 300 surgeries, despite initially planning for 300. In Ibadan, Oyo State, the second edition recorded even higher attendance, with surgeries, dental treatments, and other health services provided to participants. Medicines and supplies valued at several hundred million naira were also distributed.

In addition to healthcare and relief distribution, CCRW has organised conferences aimed at training and equipping pastors. Thousands of Bibles were also distributed to ministers during previous editions.

The upcoming Port Harcourt programme is expected to follow a similar model, combining religious gatherings with free medical services and humanitarian outreach.
