The dream of making Nollywood stars proud landlords may have been rekindled as the initiator of the project, Chief Mike Audu during the week dropped the hint that his foreign partners are due to arrive  the country in a couple weeks to commence the project.

Chief Audu, whose company, Adiku Global Limited, a real estate development company, in conjunction with its foreign partners is championing this noble dream of constructing the proposed Nollywood mega city in Abuja, according to him, returned to the country last Monday, from Spain, where he had gone to conclude arrangements with his foreign partners.

While in Spain, HVP  gathered that  Chief Audu met and held meaningful discussions with lots of investors as well as Deutsche Bank, which according to him, has agreed to support the first phase of the project commencing soon with the sum of  $200 million.

At the moment, Chief Audu, is said to be urging the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory to buy into the project, as doing so, would help to bring the federal capital city to the limelight.

“Chief Mike Audu just returned to the country from Spain. He was there to finalise arrangements with his foreign partners. While in Spain, he met with a lot of investors and the Deutsche Bank, which has agreed to support the first phase of the project with the sum of $200million. Some of the investors will be arriving the country in three weeks time.” our source disclosed.

Chief Audu late last year held dinner at Protea Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, with some select stakeholders of the industry to intimate them about the project.

Speaking at that event, the youthful entrepreneur reiterated his commitment towards impacting on the lives of Nollywood practitioners, with his foreign partners, AYESA, a Spanish construction company that is billed to handle the project.

He conceived the idea of erecting Nollywood city not too long ago. According to Audu, over 324 hectares of land with  about 15,000 housing units have already been acquired  in Galadimawa area of Abuja.
