UGHELLI — A political group, Delta People for Tinubu-Sheriff 2027, has declared its endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during the group’s strategic interface and maiden meeting held in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The motion to adopt both leaders as sole candidates was moved by Julius Atiku, the group’s coordinator in Ughelli South LGA, and seconded by Mrs. Kesiena Itihwe, the Ughelli South Women Leader. The motion received unanimous approval from all attendees.

Speaking at the meeting, the group’s chairman, Engr. Prosper Oghenevwaro Adjerese, stated that the decision was based on the excellent performance and leadership shown by both President Tinubu at the federal level and Governor Oborevwori at the state level.

The group’s secretary, Comrade Sunny Utuedor, urged members to remain committed to the “Renewed Hope for More” agenda being championed by both leaders, emphasizing its impact on national and state development.

Also addressing members, the state women leader of the group, Mrs. Beauty Akpoyibo, called on supporters to sustain their backing for both administrations, describing the Renewed Hope agenda as a progressive movement that must be supported by all well-meaning Deltans.

Several local government coordinators also reaffirmed their support during the meeting. Speakers included:
