West Africa will be the first region to screen the latest season of the historical drama series “The Chosen” six days before its global release. Season 5, titled “The Chosen: Last Supper”, will premiere in cinemas across the region on April 4, 2025.

The early release was announced at Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution’s Q1 Exhibition Showcase in Ikoyi on February 4, 2025.

The event featured a teaser of the new season, generating excitement for its theatrical debut.

The release is timed to coincide with Holy Week, and audiences will have the opportunity to watch the first two episodes on the big screen.

This model has been successful in other regions, allowing fans and new viewers to engage with the series in a communal setting.

“The Chosen” is a seven-season series created by Dallas Jenkins, based on the life of Jesus. Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution will oversee the release of Season 5 in West Africa. Tickets will be available on the series’ official website.
