ABUJA – The Offa Grammar School Old Students Association, 2000 Set, has commissioned a solar-powered digital library in honour of the late Mrs Ruth Titilayo Taiwo, a dedicated teacher who significantly impacted the school and its students.

The project, aimed at enhancing access to educational resources, also promotes sustainable energy use.

The commissioning event was attended by members of the alumni association and other stakeholders. Barr. Nuruddin Salami, the outgoing Chairman of the 2000 Set, praised the late Mrs Taiwo for her exemplary service and acknowledged the support of her family in making the project a reality.

He urged the incoming Executive, led by Engr. Kabir Ajala, to prioritize optimizing the library’s solar power system for consistent electricity supply and further enhancing its functionality.

Barr. Salami highlighted the need for continuous improvement to ensure the library’s optimal utilization by students of Offa Grammar School.

He also expressed gratitude to his executive committee members—Eyitayo Segun, Kafayat Muhammed, Abolaji Tomori, Jelani Rukayat, and Bimpe Bello—for their dedication during his tenure.

Salami further stressed the importance of unity within the association for the school’s advancement.
