…Says Nigeria’s Challenges Are Surmountable

Former Governor of Anambra State and two-time Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, has extended warm greetings to Nigerians on the occasion of Christmas.

In his Christmas message released through his media office in Abuja, Ngige urged Christians to use the season, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, as a time for fervent prayers for Nigeria to overcome its current challenges, no matter how daunting they may seem.

He emphasized that the holiness and solemnity of the season offer Nigerians an opportunity for quiet reflection on both their personal lives and the state of the nation.

Ngige called on Nigerians to pray for divine guidance for leaders across all levels and arms of government, stressing that with God’s direction, they would succeed in steering the nation toward progress and stability.

“Notwithstanding that Jesus Christ was born under humble circumstances, He remains a phenomenal figure in the history of Christendom and humanity in general, bringing love to the unloved, care to the uncared-for, and hope to the hopeless,” Ngige said.

He encouraged Christians to emulate Christ by showing care, compassion, and love to others, especially the less privileged in society.

“I urge Christians to use this season to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Nigeria. Nigerians must imbibe peace and learn to live in harmony with one another, regardless of creed or tribe,” he added.

Ngige concluded his message with heartfelt wishes: “On this occasion of Christmas, I extend my warmest thoughts and best wishes to Christians and indeed all Nigerians. May our homes be filled with love and warmth. May this Christmas season bring joy to our hearts and may all our dreams come to fruition. Merry Christmas to all.”
