The immediate past First Lady in Kwara State, Lady Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed has reached out to over Five hundred women with packages of various foods and clothing items worth over N40,000 each for the beneficiaries to enable them to celebrate the fast-approaching Christmas, happily.

Lady Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed also enjoined other well-meaning Nigerians to reach out to the less privileged being seriously affected by current economic hardships and help them celebrate Christmas joyfully by assisting them with foods and other gift items.

Omolewa Ahmed, who earlier organised a prayer session in ilorin under the aegis of God’s Mercy Solution Ministry, for interested members which comprise mostly women and a few men had given the deserving women tally with which they came to collect the Christmas package on Wednesday.

One of the Supervising ministers of the ministry, Rev Bolaji Odejide who spoke with journalists during the distribution exercise in ilorin also seized the occasion to inform the public about Leah Orphanage home,also under the care ofthe former First lady.

He said Twenty-five orphans and children who don’t have good upbringing are being taken care of at the orphanage home physically, spiritually and academically, stressing that five children recently gained admission to the university with all expenses paid.

Reverend Bolaji Odejide said the vision of the ministry was given by almighty God to Former First lady Evangelist Omolewa Ahmed, to reach out to the world and save people for Christ, adding that it’s a mandate to win Soul and bring transformation to their lives.

According to him,”majorly our core mandate is to reach out to the people. As we prepare for Christmas and the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ,we want to reach out to the people and give them joy.

“We have reached out to people, especially as many women as possible and to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by giving them items such as foods and other things that would be beneficial to them .

“Today we’ll be giving them pack of rice,beans, semolina,garri,women clothing and some children materials to use during Christmas .”

He noted that,”over 500 women have gathered and they would be given these materials freely today.Yesterday,we gathered some people to cry to almighty God,some men joined too,it was from there we reached out to the women by giving them cards as many as we could reach to gather here and be given materials for Christmas.

“We are at a time we have to reach out to the less privileged and show people God’s love, especially now that the poor are suffering and people are in serious needs.

“This is the time to show people love ,this gesture will save many people from dying and give them joy .I’m encouraging that as many people that have this kind of opportunity should be a blessing to the people “.

The package given to each beneficiary,which contains rebagged semovita,rice Garri, seasoning items, unsew women’s clothing and children’s materials worth over 40,000.

Two of the beneficiaries Mrs Grace Adeyemi,and Itunu Oluwaseyi expressed their happiness for the gifts and prayed for almighty God to replenish purse of the donor.
